Ultrasound examinations

Most patients are familiar with ultrasound examinations, also called sonograms. They are painless examinations and completely free of adverse effects. Medical and technological advancements have significantly improved this examination method during the past years, which is why we employ ultrasound technology to complement the MRI examination or even use it for basic diagnostics as an alternative examination method, when an MRI cannot be performed.
With modern multi-coloured duplex and Doppler sonograms combined with high-resolution transducers we can make highly accurate diagnoses in the same scope as previously performed with angiograms.
The ultrasounds of the vessels, thyroid gland, heart, abdominal organs and (in men) prostate are especially conclusive. They provide information about the most subtle of changes in the respective organ’s structure.
