MRIs – good to know
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) provides three-dimensional high-resolution images from the inside of the body. It is used to evaluate the human body and many pathological changes of organs, joints and bones. No radioactive substances and no x-rays are used during this procedure.
Information for patients with pacemakers:
Due to the strong magnetic field metallic objects are not permitted in the examination suite. For this reason patients with pacemakers cannot undergo MRI examinations. The presence of metallic splinters, certain implants or prostheses may also be a reason for exclusion from this examination. Please inform us accordingly when arranging an appointment.
