Dr Simone Münkel, General Practitioner, Nutritional Specialist
Dr Münkel studied medicine in Essen and Paris. After her work at the University Clinic of Tübingen she continued her work at the University Clinic of Essen at the Department of Cardiology. During the past two years as a clinical investigator in a large epidemiological trial, she focused on the research of new diagnostic possibilities or risk factors for cardiovascular illnesses. Dr Münkel has acquired an additional qualification as nutritional specialist. Together with Prof. Baumgart and Dr Schwerdtfeger she is responsible for the internistic examinations here at Preventicum.
